Indianapolis - the San Antonio of the North

Indianapolis - the San Antonio of the North

San Antonio has River Walk.  Indianapolis has Canal Walk. We were surprised to find a 3 mile canal walk downtown by all the museums.  There were a few differences with Texas. The canal water was cleaner and smelled better and artists had painted murals under all the bridges.  And no one had covered the paintings with graffiti.  What is wrong with the gangs in Indiana?  Don't they have any creative talent?

Custer has now transported us over 700 miles.  And in Indiana, it drove only on roads still under construction.

And so it begins...

And so it begins...

As you can see from the photo, the car is (over) packed and we are ready to go.

If you are viewing this blog, you are part of an "elite" group invited to share in our journey as it is happening (Yes, Sandi, this blog is for you!).  All we ask it that you not post any comments on facebook (like "When will you be back from your 6 week trip?") that nefarious elements could use to plan moving parties while we are away.  Feel free to contact us by email or call us as we will be spending a lot of time in the car on this 8000 mile odyssey.

Our first stop is Hendersonville NC, to spend a couple days with Kevin's folks.
