Grottos and Goodbyes

We took a couple similar hikes up (mostly) dry creek beds and then spent the PM getting ready to leave Banff (tears). I will miss looking out our hotel window at the Three Sisters peaks. Tomorrow we cross the continental divide and wander our way to Whitefish Mt which is just outside Glacier National park.  Best case for Glacier would be that it is as awesome as Banff - and about 20 degrees warmer.

Our first hike up Grotto canyon was beautiful with the towering walls of the canyon shading us. When there has been a recent rain, the hike may be closed but we did not have that problem. There was a nice waterfall at the end of the trail.

The Heart Creek hike was pleasant and criss crossed the small steam several times. We are spending more time looking at the rock colors and formations. We now have a collection of the black and white stripped rocks to bring home. (Something we probably wouldn't be doing if we had flown here). Custer is not thrilled about the new hobby.
