Today was a day for beautiful scenery as we arrived in the Badlands. While I have enjoyed the big sky of Minnesota and eastern South Dakota that reminds me of Kansas - it was nice to break up the prairie a bit. After 10 miles of walking (and a glass of wine with dinner) - I am weary and will let the pictures do the talking. Though I have to add that the pictures fail fairly completely to capture the unique beauty of these formations.
We ended the day with Wall Drug - which is a little like South Dakota's version of the Carolinas' South of the Border. While I have to say that the place is a step up from South of the Border - it is kind of a small step!
