Today we hiked Johnson Canyon which was one of the most beautiful hikes we have done. The spring runoff made for some powerful falls highlighted by the colorful canyon walls. The clearness of the turquoise water continues to amaze me. On the hike back to the car we met a little friend about 10 yards from us. He seemed confused and eventually ran off.
We also drove the Bow Creek Parkway which is suppose to be teaming with bears, elk and mountain goats. But we typically see more wildlife in our back yard in Raleigh. Below is a picture of all the wildlife we saw on the Bow Creek.

ReplyDeleteSandi - Banff doesn't look anything like Acadia; but Hawaii is awesome so if you want to go there you should go. Just be sure to include Kauai.
